To watch every televised Premier League match in the UK in 2026/27 you need both Sky Sports and TNT Sports. The cheapest contract-free way, NOW Sports plus TNT Sports on HBO Max, costs £65.98 a month, or £659.80 across the ten months the season runs. Sky shows at least 215 live matches, TNT Sports shows 52, and the BBC has highlights of all 380 on Match of the Day.

This page sets out who has which games, the cheapest way into each, and what a full season adds up to by each route. The sources for every number are listed at the end of each section, so the figures can be checked or quoted.

How the 2026/27 rights are split

The Premier League sold its UK rights for four seasons, 2025/26 to 2028/29, in December 2023, for a total of £6.7 billion. 2026/27 is the second season of that deal.

  • Sky Sports holds four of the five live packages (B, C, D and E), covering a minimum of 215 live matches a season. That includes more than 140 weekend matches, the Friday and Monday evening games, three full midweek rounds and, for the first time, all ten matches on the final day.
  • TNT Sports holds package A: 52 live matches a season, including the exclusive Saturday 12.30pm kick-offs and two full midweek rounds.
  • BBC Sport holds the highlights rights for all 380 matches, for Match of the Day and the BBC's online platforms.
  • Amazon Prime Video has no live Premier League package in this cycle.

That makes at least 267 live matches. Every match outside the Saturday 3pm "closed period" is shown live, which means up to 113 games a season, the 3pm Saturday kick-offs, are not broadcast live in the UK at all.

The season started on Friday 21 August 2026 and finishes on Sunday 30 May 2027, with 33 weekend and five midweek rounds.

Premier League 2026/27: broadcasters, matches and prices

"Season total" assumes you pay monthly from the opening weekend and cancel after the final day, which is ten monthly payments. TV licence and broadband are not included.

A few notes on the table. NOW Sports streams below Full HD unless you add Boost, which gives Full HD and a second screen for £6 a month more. BT broadband customers can get TNT Sports on HBO Max for £25 a month rolling instead of £30.99. EE lists its Sport price rising from £27 to £29 in March 2027, which is built into the 12-month estimate.

What it costs to see every televised match

Because Sky and TNT split the games, seeing all 267 means paying both. Here are the four realistic routes, cheapest monthly commitment first.

Route 1: both monthly, no contracts

NOW Sports (£34.99) plus TNT Sports on HBO Max (£30.99) is £65.98 a month, or £659.80 over the ten months of the season. Add NOW Boost for Full HD and it becomes £71.98 a month, £719.80 for the season.

Nothing is owed in June and July, because you simply cancel both after the final day.

Route 2: both on 12-month savers

HBO Max sells TNT Sports on a 12-month plan at £25.99 a month. NOW has advertised a 12-month Sports saver at £27.99 a month this season, reverting to £34.99 afterwards; check it is still on offer before counting on it. Together that is £53.98 a month, or £647.76 over 12 months.

That is only about £12 less than Route 1 across a year, and you are locked in through the summer. The savers suit people who also want the other sport on those channels year round. For Premier League football alone, the monthly route costs almost the same and leaves you free to stop.

Route 3: Sky TV, plus TNT Sports

New Sky customers can get Essential TV with Sky Sports for £35 a month on a 24-month contract, with no upfront fees. That includes Sky's entertainment channels and Netflix Standard with adverts. Add TNT Sports on a 12-month HBO Max plan (£25.99) and the total is £60.99 a month, £731.88 a year.

If you are already a Sky TV customer, Sky lists Sky Sports at £24 a month extra on a 24-month contract. Outside the minimum term, Sky's standard Sky Sports price is currently £35 a month on Sky Stream or Sky Glass and £38 on Sky Q. Sky says prices may change during the contract.

Route 4: BT or EE broadband customers

BT and EE both sell a Sport Plus TV package that includes NOW Sports and the TNT Sports channels together. On EE it is £30 a month for three months, then £55 a month, rising to £57 in March 2027, on a 24-month contract. That comes to about £600 in the first 12 months, on top of the broadband bill. It only makes sense if you are with BT or EE for broadband already, or were planning to move.

Ways to cut the cost, legitimately

Use NOW day passes for occasional games

The NOW Sports Day Membership is £14.99 for 24 hours. Two match days in a month cost £29.98, which is less than the £34.99 monthly membership. Three cost £44.97, which is more. So if you only watch your own club when Sky picks them, count the dates first.

A pass lasts 24 hours from when you buy it, so a Sunday with two Sky games back to back only needs one pass if you buy it before the first kick-off.

Pause over the summer

The season ends on 30 May 2027 and the next does not start until August. Rolling memberships on NOW and HBO Max can be cancelled in between, which is roughly two months you are not paying for. That is the main reason Route 1 competes with the 12-month savers.

Only pay for TNT Sports in the months you need it

TNT's 52 games are spread across the Saturday 12.30pm slot and two midweek rounds. The Premier League publishes which matches are picked for television through the season, so check the listings for your club before buying a month of TNT Sports. If your team isn't on in a given month, skip it.

Get highlights free with Match of the Day

If you mostly want to see the goals, the BBC has highlights of every match, all 380, on Match of the Day and online. It costs nothing beyond the TV licence you already need for live TV, £180 a year from 1 April 2026.

Check your broadband provider's introductory offers

BT and EE's Sport package is £5 a month for its first three months. If you are due to change broadband anyway, those introductory months knock a noticeable amount off the first season. Just diary the date the full price starts.

Price it again when your Sky contract ends

Outside the minimum term, Sky Sports goes back to its standard price. If you are coming to the end of a Sky contract, compare the renewal offer against Route 1 before you accept it. Our guide to cancelling Sky TV explains the steps if you decide to leave.

Other options you will see advertised

You will also come across IPTV subscriptions sold as a cheaper way to watch television generally. BingeBear is one: it charges once rather than monthly (from £60 for six months to £255 for Lifetime, each on one device) and offers a free 24-hour trial with no card. We are not claiming here that it shows any of the matches above. If you look at any service like this, use the trial to check what you actually care about, read the terms, and only use services and content you are authorised to access. Prices are on the UK pricing page.

How we worked the numbers out

  • Prices were taken from each provider's own website on 27 September 2026. Where a figure came from a news report instead, the text says so.
  • "Season" means the ten monthly payments from 21 August 2026 to 30 May 2027.
  • The TV licence and broadband are excluded from every total, because you need them whichever route you pick.
  • Introductory offers, savers and contract prices change often, and Sky, BT and EE all state that prices may change during a contract.

The short version

For every televised game with no contract, budget £65.98 a month from August to May. If you only follow one club, NOW day passes and a month of TNT Sports here and there will usually cost much less. If you only need the goals, Match of the Day is free with your licence.

If you are weighing up the rest of the TV bill as well, our guide to Sky TV alternatives in the UK prices every option side by side. And if you want to see how a one-off IPTV plan runs on your own telly, the free 24-hour trial takes a name and a WhatsApp number, and a real person helps you set it up over WhatsApp.

Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost to watch every Premier League game in 2026/27?

You need both Sky Sports and TNT Sports. On prices checked on 27 September 2026, the cheapest contract-free way is NOW Sports (£34.99 a month) plus TNT Sports on HBO Max (£30.99 a month), which is £65.98 a month or £659.80 over the ten months of the season. Contract routes through Sky, BT or EE come to roughly £600 to £730 in the first year.

How many Premier League games are on Sky Sports and TNT Sports this season?

Under the deal covering 2025/26 to 2028/29, Sky Sports shows at least 215 live matches a season, including all ten on the final day, and TNT Sports shows 52, including the exclusive Saturday 12.30pm kick-offs. That is at least 267 of the 380 matches. The rest are the Saturday 3pm games, which are not shown live in the UK.

Is NOW cheaper than Sky Sports for the Premier League?

NOW Sports costs £34.99 a month with no contract, while new Sky customers pay £35 a month for Essential TV with Sky Sports on a 24-month contract. Month for month they are almost identical. NOW is cheaper over a year only because you can cancel it for June and July when there is no Premier League football.

Is Amazon Prime Video showing Premier League games in 2026/27?

No. The UK live rights for the four seasons from 2025/26 went to Sky Sports and TNT Sports only, with highlights on the BBC. Amazon Prime Video has no live Premier League package in this cycle, so a Prime membership will not get you any live matches this season.

How much is a NOW Sports day pass?

The NOW Sports Day Membership costs £14.99 and lasts 24 hours from when you buy it, with no contract. It carries the Sky Sports channels, so it covers Sky's Premier League matches but not TNT Sports games. Two day passes in a month cost less than a monthly membership; three cost more.

Can I watch Premier League highlights for free?

Yes, with a TV licence. The BBC holds the highlights rights for all 380 Premier League matches each season, shown on Match of the Day and on the BBC's online platforms. The licence costs £180 a year from 1 April 2026 and is needed for live TV and BBC iPlayer anyway.
