The setup in four small steps

• Open Google Play on the Android TV and search for IBO Player Pro.

• Install the app.

Step 1: Open Google Play and search for IBO Player Pro

• Press the Home button on the Android TV remote.

• Find the Google Play Store on the home screen.

• Open it. Click the search icon.

• Type IBO Player Pro or use voice search on the remote.

Step 2: Install IBO Player Pro

• Click Install on the IBO Player Pro listing.

• Google Play downloads and installs the app (about 30 seconds).

Step 3: Photograph the MAC address and Device Key

• The first screen shows the MAC address and Device Key.

• Take a phone photo of the whole screen.

Android boxes usually have only one MAC address (no Wi-Fi vs Ethernet split). But Android TV smart tellys (Sony, Philips, Hisense) do have two MACs — pick the connection you will use long-term before sending the photo.

Step 4: Send the photo to our support agent

• WhatsApp the photo to our support agent. Tell them which device ("Android box in the sitting room").

• They load your playlist on the IBO Player Pro provider portal.

• Close IBO Player Pro fully and re-open it.

• Channel list, EPG, films and sport appear.

Troubleshooting IPTV on Android TV

1. IBO Player Pro not in Google Play search

Your Google account region is set to a country where the app is not listed. Settings then Account then change country to Ireland or UK. Restart and re-search.

2. No Google Play on your box at all

Some no-name Android boxes ship without Google Play. Use the Downloader app and code 923441 (ibo.al backup) or 481220 (official) to install the IBO Player Pro APK. The app works identically once installed.

3. "Invalid MAC" after Step 4

Re-photograph the screen and resend.

4. Sport channels buffer, films play fine

Try Ethernet instead of Wi-Fi if your box has the port. Cheap Android boxes often have weak Wi-Fi.

5. App keeps closing or crashing

The box might be low on RAM (some €25 Android boxes have only 1GB). Close other apps. If it keeps happening, try BOB Player as a lighter alternative.

6. Programme guide blank for the first hour

Normal. EPG takes 5 to 10 minutes the first time.
