Want to watch IPTV on your iPhone or iPad in Ireland? This is the plain English guide to setting up IPTV iPhone Ireland in 3 minutes. The simplest setup of any device: install IBO Pro Player from the App Store, copy your MAC, message our support agent on WhatsApp, watch.
On iPhone and iPad the app is called IBO Pro Player (Apple's naming, not IBO Player Pro). Same software as the Android version, installed straight from the Apple App Store like Netflix.
What you need before you start
- An iPhone or iPad running iOS 14 or newer (any iPhone from 2016 onwards is grand).
- An Apple ID signed in on the device.
- Wi-Fi or mobile data with at least 5 Mbps for SD, 10 Mbps for HD.
- Your BingeBear IPTV login (we send it on WhatsApp inside 5 minutes).
- 3 minutes. You will not need to take a photo on iPhone or iPad: you can send the MAC by copy-and-paste.
The setup in four small steps
- Open the App Store and search for IBO Pro Player.
- Tap Get to install.
- Open the app. Copy the MAC address and Device Key shown on the first screen.
- Send them to our support agent on WhatsApp. They load your channel list. Reopen the app. Channels appear.
Step 1: Open the App Store and search for IBO Pro Player

- Open the App Store on your iPhone or iPad (the blue icon with the white "A").
- Tap the search tab at the bottom (magnifying glass).
- Type IBO Pro Player. The developer name is IBO Solutions.
- Tap the IBO Pro Player listing.
Step 2: Install IBO Pro Player

- Tap Get.
- Confirm with Face ID, Touch ID, or your Apple ID password.
- The app downloads (about 20 seconds).
- Tap Open.
Step 3: Copy the MAC address and Device Key

- The first screen shows the MAC address (like `00:1A:79:XX:XX:XX`) and Device Key (6 to 10 characters).
- Long-press the MAC address to copy it to the clipboard.
- Do the same for the Device Key.
- Or, simpler: take a screenshot (press Power + Volume Up on iPhone, or Power + Home on older iPhones, or Power + Top button on iPad with no Home button).
On iPhone and iPad you do not need a photo of another screen. The MAC + Device Key are right there in the app. Long-press to copy, or take a screenshot. Either works.
Step 4: Send to our support agent on WhatsApp

- Open WhatsApp and message our support agent with the MAC + Device Key (paste them or send the screenshot).
- Tell them "iPhone" or "iPad" so they know which device.
- They load your playlist on the IBO Pro Player provider portal against the MAC.
- Force-close IBO Pro Player (swipe up from the bottom and flick the app card away).
- Re-open IBO Pro Player. Channel list, EPG, films and sport appear.
How IBO Pro Player activation works on iPhone / iPad
7-day free trial. After that, IBO Pro Player offers an in-app purchase of around €7 to €10 for the one-off device activation. Paid through your Apple ID. The activation is locked to your iPhone or iPad, paid once, lasts forever on that device.
Troubleshooting IPTV on iPhone and iPad
1. IBO Pro Player not in the App Store
Region issue. Settings then your Apple ID at the top then Media & Purchases then View Account then Country/Region. Set to Ireland or UK. Restart and re-search.
2. iOS version too old
IBO Pro Player needs iOS 14 or newer. Settings then General then Software Update. Update iOS. If your device cannot update past iOS 13, the app will not install. You would need a newer iPhone or iPad.
3. "Invalid MAC" after Step 4
One character on the MAC sent to our support agent is wrong. Re-copy it from IBO Pro Player and resend.
4. Channels buffer on mobile data
Mobile data varies. 4G usually handles SD streams; 5G handles HD. For sport in HD on the iPhone, Wi-Fi or 5G is better. Drop to SD in IBO Pro Player settings if mobile data is the only option.
5. App keeps closing or freezing
Restart the iPhone. If it keeps happening, delete IBO Pro Player and reinstall from the App Store.
6. iPhone screen locks while watching
Settings then Display & Brightness then Auto-Lock. Set to "Never" while watching, or to a long delay like 5 minutes. Remember to set it back so the battery does not drain.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best IPTV app for iPhone in Ireland in 2026?
IBO Pro Player from the Apple App Store. It is the only fully-featured Irish-compatible IPTV player approved by Apple.
Can I watch IPTV on my iPad?
Yes. iPad uses the same IBO Pro Player app. The install steps are identical to iPhone. The bigger screen of the iPad makes it the better mobile choice for sport.
How much does IBO Pro Player cost on iPhone?
Free for 7 days, then a one-off device activation of around €7 to €10 via Apple in-app purchase. Per device.
Can I AirPlay the IPTV stream from my iPhone to the Apple TV?
Yes, but installing IBO Pro Player directly on the Apple TV is better. AirPlay re-encodes the stream and quality drops.
What if I have an older iPhone (iPhone 6 or earlier)?
iPhone 6 cannot update past iOS 12, which is too old for IBO Pro Player. iPhone 6s and newer (2015 onwards) can update to iOS 15+ and run the app.
Can I watch GAA, Premier League and Sky Sports on the iPhone?
Yes, your BingeBear plan includes those feeds. Most Irish services include every Sky Sport, every GAA championship match, every Premier League fixture.
Will my iPhone's mobile data handle live TV?
4G handles SD streams (around 1 GB per hour). 5G handles HD comfortably (around 3 GB per hour). Watch on Wi-Fi where possible, especially for sport.
Once IBO Pro Player is installed on your iPhone or iPad
You should be at the MAC + Device Key screen. Two things need to happen before the channels appear:
- Playlist loaded against that MAC on the IBO Pro Player provider portal.
- Device activated after the 7-day free trial (around €7 to €10).
